The Gandhian tenets of non-violence, an unshakeable commitment to truth, non-violence, and compassion have inspired generations and also leaders like Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr. In 2019, to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi, the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres referred to Gandhi as a global icon of peace and an advocate for the most vulnerable.
Today on the birth Anniversary of the âFather of the Nation' several celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor, and Karisma Kapoor, took to their social media accounts and shared warm wishes with their fans and followers.
Shah Rukh Khan took to his X (formerly Twitter) and shared a beautiful message to wish everyone a happy Gandhi Jayanti. The actor wrote, "Mahatma GandhiJi's teachings are timeless and have underlined the importance of compassion, unity and love. He taught us how to never lose spirit and heart in the face of adversity. Let's remember him and celebrate his legacy on the special occasion of Gandhi Jayanti."

Kareena Kapoor took to her Instagram and posted a story with a beautiful quote. In her story, Kareen wrote, "Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. - Mahatma Gandhi #GandhiJayanti."
Karisma Kapoor aka Lolo also shared a quote on her Instagram stories which reads, "Always choose the right path and speak the truth". The actress further wrote, "Words of Wisdom #GandhiJayanti"
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is currently riding high on his recently released film Jawan. Jawan is a Red Chillies Entertainment presentation directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan, and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film was released worldwide in theatres on September 7, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The film also stars Vijay Sethupati, and Nayanthara in pivotal roles.
On the other hand, Kareena was most recently seen in the Netflix thriller series âJaane Jaan' alongside Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. While Karisma was last seen in Alt Balaji's series Mentalhood.
