Aamir Khan
Aamir Khan has taken a break from acting to spend quality time with his family. Meanwhile, he is following a studio model for his production house with five films that are at various stages of development. The actor-producer, who has remakes of Campeones and Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, besides Pritam Pyaare, Lapata Ladies, and Love Today, is said to be in talks with Dinesh Vijan for a new collaboration. Reportedly, they are discussing the making of the biopic on noted public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam. Interestingly, Aamir was contemplating playing the legal eagle himself, but that idea is rumoured to be put on hold for now. The makers are prioritising getting an able director on board to helm the movie before delving into casting. For the uninitiated, Nikam is a special public prosecutor who has worked on prominent cases like the 1993 Bombay Blasts, the murder cases of Gulshan Kumar and Pramod Mahajan, and the 2008 Mumbai terror attack. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2016. On the other hand, Aamir is also in talks with Rajkumar Hirani for his next directorial venture, rumoured to be the biopic of Lala Amaranth, who was considered the father figure of Indian cricket.

Thanks to the success of Pathaan, filmmakers and actors seem to have discovered a newfound love for spy thrillers. While YRF had already revealed plans for their spy universe, Aamir Khan's nephew Imran Khan is said to be making a comeback with an espionage thriller. Eight years after his last outing, Katti Batti (2015), the young Khan is reuniting with Abbas Tyrewala, the director of his debut film Jaane Tu⦠Ya Jaane Naa. Unlike his chocolate boy avatar in their 2008 hit, the actor will play an age-appropriate and tough jasoos for Abbas's yet-untitled venture. Moreover, this is a web series, and Imran will soon begin extensive training as the role requires him to undergo a drastic physical transformation. Set in the cloak-and-dagger world of South Asian counter-intelligence, the espionage thriller series is set to go on floors by year-end.
Amitabh Bachchan's granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda, has repeatedly denied any interest in pursuing a career in acting. But that doesn't stop her from exploring the world of stories. The young entrepreneur is foraying into comics with Tinkle. The comic book, set to be launched by September-end, focuses on women-centric stories, keeping in sync with Navya's Project Naveli. "Having grown up reading Tinkle, collaborating with them on creating a new set of stories [feels like life coming] full circle," enthuses the youngster, adding, "It is exciting to bring some of these stories to life, and that too around some important themes related to women."
