Emraan Hashmi
Now that the trailer of Tiger 3 has been unveiled, Emraan Hashmi can't keep calm. "I was dying to tell people about Tiger 3 but couldn't, knowing very well that the pay-off would be immense when my character is unveiled to the people," says the actor, who plays the antagonist in the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer. Talking about his character Aatish, the cold-blooded nemesis to Salman's Tiger, Emmi says, "[Aatish] is so fuelled by rage, he single-mindedly wants to destroy Tiger and his family. He knows Tiger will always be the last man standing for India and he wants him removed at any cost." All praise for the makers, Emraan sums it up saying, "The anti-heroes of the YRF Spy Universe have been the trump cards. They hit you hard and [producer] Aditya Chopra was clear that he wanted my character to take people by surprise. So, an elaborate plan was made to keep me under wraps. I'm also thankful to [director] Maneesh Sharma for being a guide to bring Aatish to life. It was his vision for the character that I was sold on. He helped me craft a character that I'm immensely proud of."
Monday marked a milestone for Hindi cinema's Dream Girl, Hema Malini. It was her 75th birthday and she hosted a big bash to celebrate the special day with her family and friends from the fraternity. Amitabh Bachchan, who has delivered a number of hits with Hema, was conspicuous by his absence. So was Shah Rukh Khan, who starred in her directorial debut, Dil Aashna Hai. The revelry was marked with Hema's chartbusters from her movies. One of the highlights of the party was good friend Rekha dedicating the yesteryear hit song, Kya khoob lagti ho, to the Dream Girl and also grooving to it with her. Their camaraderie warms the cockles of our hearts.
