Vijay Deverakonda and Sharvari Wagh
Never mind that Liger didn't exactly set the box office on fire, it appears that Vijay Deverakonda's popularity hasn't diminished. The actor was recently spotted with Sharvari Wagh in Hyderabad, leading to speculation that the two are collaborating for a new movie. However, it turns out that the two actors are shooting for a commercial. Depending on how the campaign turns out, Vijay and Sharvari might just be signed up for a movie. Given that he is pally with Karan Johar and she is Aditya Chopra's protégée, we won't be too surprised if their first feature together is backed by either of them.

Undeterred by the fate of his Samrat Prithviraj earlier this year, Akshay Kumar is set to revisit history. This time around, he will essay the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Mahesh Manjrekar's next Marathi film, Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat. The period drama was launched in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde recently. Calling the portrayal of the Maratha king a big challenge, Akshay, who also makes his Marathi film debut with this project, promised, "I will work hard for the role." Adding that he got the part due to Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray, who was also present at the event, Akki said, "He assured me that I could play this role. This is a big deal for me. I will give my all for this part." Besides Marathi, the film will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu as well.

Over eight years since The Xposé (2014), Himesh Reshammiya is all set to reprise his character of cop-turned-actor Ravi Kumar, who was based on yesteryear actor Raaj Kumar. The composer-singer-actor-producer shared a teaser of the spinoff, titled Badass Ravi Kumar, on social media yesterday, much to the amusement of netizens. It's another thing that after his acting debut Aap Kaa Surroor (2007), none of his films have worked commercially. The Xposé, however, generated interest thanks to its peppy music. The look of the musical thriller was clearly inspired by Baz Luhrmann's historical romantic drama, The Great Gatsby (2013).
Two months after welcoming their son Vayu, Sonam K Ahuja and Anand Ahuja are holidaying in Austria. Sharing pictures from the resort, she wrote, "The last few months I've been able to appreciate and understand what an amazing husband I've been lucky enough to get." Thanking him for putting her needs above his, and being obsessive about her happiness, she added, "I knew you'd be a great dad but you've understood being a good dad is first being the best husband you can be."
Trending immediately after its release on lead actor Shah Rukh Khan's birthday, the Pathaan teaser is now being talked about for borrowing inspiration from multiple films. A social media user shared a comparative clip to show the scenes of the action thriller bearing resemblance to sequences from Hollywood's Fast & Furious 9, Mission: Impossible - Fallout, Die Another Day and even our desi offering, Saaho. If that wasn't enough, Twitterati shared a poster of Idris Elba's Beast to show its striking similarities with SRK's poster. What is it they say about imitation being the best form of flattery?
