Salman Khan
Salman Khan issued a statement yesterday highlighting that neither he nor his production banner Salman Khan Films is associated with any third party for casting in films. Khan took to Instagram to share the statement, and also shared that legal action would be taken against those fraudulently using his identity or his company's name. The notice read: "This is to clarify that neither Mr Salman Khan nor Salman Khan Films [is] casting for any film currently. We have not hired any casting agents for our future films." He encouraged people to "not trust any emails or messages received by you for this purpose." "Legal action will be taken if any party is found falsely using Mr Khan's or SKF's name in any unauthorised manner." Salman Khan Films was established by the star in 2011. It has backed movies such as Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Hero, Dabangg 3, Antim: The Final Truth, and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
Karan Johar seemingly took a dig at the makers of Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Merry Christmas after the team announced the film's release date, which clashes with that of Johar's production, Yodha. Johar had announced the release of his film earlier this month. "Clashing on a date without the courtesy of a phone call is hopefully not the way forward for studios and producers. If we don't stand united in these tough theatrical days, then calling us a fraternity is futile," wrote Johar, without naming either of the two films.
Aamir Khan, who was a state-level tennis player, was seen at the Wimbledon finals at the All England Club in London along with his three children, Ira, Junaid and Azad. Ira took to Instagram Stories and posted a selfie featuring all three of them from the match. Several personalities such as Sonam K Ahuja, Mohanlal, Nick Jonas, Brad Pitt, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Emma Watson among others, were seen attending the event.
The poster of the upcoming film, Project K, which stars Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani, recently graced the iconic billboards of Times Square in New York City. The development serves as a precursor to the preview of the film at San Diego Comic-Con on July 20. The anticipated project has been produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, and directed by Nag Ashwin. The film's music score has been composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
John Abraham took to Instagram to share an appeal to Indian parliamentarians. The actor, who is passionate about animals' rights, shared, "A bird cannot go to court, a horse doesn't vote, a dog cannot share its plight with a journalist. Animals don't have a voice, but you do. And it's time for you to speak up today. Main aaj humare sabhi members of Parliament se yeh appeal karna chahata hoon ki woh Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Amendment Bill ko Parliament ke monsoon session me laayein. India needs to protect its animal citizens too."
Continuing to share snippets of her life on social media, Zeenat Aman discussed the circulation of fake news relating to her life, during her decades-long career. "Public perception is a funny thing. When you are famous, complete strangers imagine that they have an intimate knowledge of your life story. Many also feel entitled to the sort of judgement that would elicit their own moral outrage, were the tables turned. In my 50 years in Hindi cinema, I have read and heard enough falsehoods and cruel statements about myself to fill a book. I have no inclination to counter each one of these because they simply do not merit so much of my attention. I will also not hesitate to say that spreading false information says more about the speaker than the one who is spoken about!"
In a candid conversation that took place within the Bigg Boss OTT 2 house, Pooja Bhatt was seen making a thought-provoking remark that challenged the common perception of the relationship between degree and education. Bhatt, who shared that she and her father, Mahesh Bhatt, are dropouts, emphasised that a degree does not necessarily define one's education or capabilities. "I and my father are dropouts, but it goes to show that degree and education are not really related (sic)," she mentioned during the conversation, further attributing her strong command over English to her schooling in a Parsi institution.
