When you have Akshay Kumar in a film, you can be sure there will be special focus on action. It was no different in his festival offering, Ram Setu. The actor teamed up with Anl Arasu and Parvez Shaikh to create some novel action set-pieces for the adventure saga. "At the onset, Akshay maintained that the action had to be created keeping in mind that he plays an archaeologist in the movie," shares a source. Director Abhishek Sharma recently revealed that Akki partly designed the stunt scene set in Afghanistan, and also helped improvise a motorboat chase sequence. "In fact, Akshay sir would do the rehearsals and safety check himself with the stunt men before we shot the action sequences," revealed a source.

While most film folk hosted parties, Karan Johar had a puja ceremony at his office on Sunday. Shershaah jodi Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, who have been reportedly dating for about two years, were in attendance.
Besides friend and Dharma Productions' CEO, Apoorva Mehta, Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi, Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Gurfateh Pirzada and Lakshya Lalwani were present. Ibrahim Ali Khan, who is assisting the filmmaker on his next, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, also joined the puja. However, the highlight was KJo twinning with his children Roohi and Yash.
No celebration with the Kapoors can ever be low-key. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's intimate dinner for their families on Sunday turned out to be a big get-together.
Besides Randhir Kapoor, Babita, Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu, also present were Neetu Kapoor, Rima and Manoj Jain. However, Sara and Ibrahim Ali Khan gave it a miss. Guess they opted for the company of friends Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor and Ananya Panday at Amrit Pal Bindra's party.
Having wrapped up his next, Varisu, Vijay has taken a break. On Sunday, he flew down to Dubai, where his son Sanjay is studying. Thalapathy Vijay, as the actor is known, is said to be celebrating the festival of lights with his family in the Emirate city. Interestingly, filmmakers are already keen to launch Sanjay in films. In fact, Premam director Alphonse Puthren even pitched a subject to Vijay, who initially thought it was for him, but was later told it was for his son. Vijay, who liked the story, reportedly said, "Sanjay smoothly declined Alphonse's offer, saying that he needs time before he enters the industry."
Though Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have celebrated the festival together, this is their first Diwali after marriage. What makes this year special is that they're set to welcome their first child by November-end or early December. However, there are no hectic celebrations for the duo. Sharing her pictures, Alia wrote, "Happy Diwali from throwback me as current me is spending Diwali in bed. Love and light to all."
