Shahid Kapoor and Anees Bazmee
We know that Shahid Kapoor has been roped in to lead Anees Bazmee's next directorial venture. Industry sources tell us that the actor has reduced his fee for the film that is being produced by Ekta Kapoor and Dil Raju. Sasha, who is said to have charged producer Dinesh Vijan a remuneration of R35 crore for the debutant director Amit Joshi's sci-fi rom-com with Kriti Sanon, is apparently taking home R25 crore for Kapoor and Raju's joint production. Insiders attribute the development to the increased remuneration for Bazmee, whose last release emerged to be the first runaway hit of 2022. Asserting that the director played a major role in the set-up, our informer said, "Following the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Anees bhai is sought after by actors. What is important is to make the project commercially viable. Any other adjustment, like profit-sharing, can be worked out later. Shahid understands this, and adjusted his fee accordingly."
John Abraham and Riteish Deshmukh, who share the same birth-date (December 17) and have co-starred in films like Housefull 2 (2012), have a common link to the 2019 Telugu film, Majili. While Riteish's latest release, and also his directorial debut, Ved, is based on Naga Chaitanya and Samantha's romantic sports drama, John has the Hindi remake rights. With Ved having registered good opening weekend numbers, it remains to be seen when the hunky actor plans to begin work on his Hindi adaptation now.

It looks like Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma have gotten close while working together on director Sujoy Ghosh's segment for Lust Stories 2. Apparently, they welcomed the New Year together in Goa. Although the actors have been spotted together on a number of occasions, it is their recent video that sees them sharing a kiss that has led to speculation of them being a couple. Needless to say, it went viral. Not surprisingly, neither of them has commented yet. After all, they say it's not good to kiss and tell!

Going by Ajay Devgn's social media post, it seems that Rohit Shetty has moved on from the debacle of Cirkus. Sharing a picture with the director, the actor wrote, "Made a good start to the New Year with Rohit Shetty's narration of Singham Again. The script I heard is [fire emoji]. God willing, this will be our 11th blockbuster." The filmmaker commented, "Ab tak imaandaari aur mehnat ke saath kaam kiya hai⦠is baar andar aag bhi hai." That's great to hear.
It looks like Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's song, Besharam rang, has run into another controversy. This time around, for alleged plagiarism. Pakistani singer Sajjad Ali recently posted a video saying, "After listening to a new movie's song, I was reminded of one that I released 26 years ago, Ab ke hum bichhare." As he went on to croon some lines of the track, one user commented, "This sounds like Besharam rang from Pathaan." Another wondered, "Besharam rang kahaan dekha?" Tsk tsk.
Talk in tinsel town is that there's more to Triptii Dimri's collaborations with Anushka Sharma's brother, Karnesh Ssharma. Triptii, who starred in the latter's productions, Bulbul (2020) and Qala (2020), is also said to be dating Karnesh. The Laila Majnu actor recently re-shared on social media a mushy picture with the producer. It was first posted by Saurabh Malhotra, an associate producer at the production house. While Triptii and Karnesh can be seen in a tight embrace, she also added red heart emojis, hinting at her relationship with Anushka's brother. Pyaar kiya toh darna kya, no?
