Almost official

Sidharth Malhotra joined rumoured ladylove Kiara Advani's family in ringing in her birthday at her South Mumbai home. On Saturday, she turned 29. Advani took to Instagram to share a video of the celebrations in which Malhotra is visible for a fleeting second with his arms around her - a clear indication that they have the family's approval and things are almost official. Though the two have been together since 2018, they prefer to play coy. They travelled together to South Africa and Maldives, but stayed away from posting pictures together. Looks like they still want to drop hints rather than talk about their relationship. Malhotra shared a behind-the-scenes picture from the shoot of their upcoming film, Shershaah, and wrote, "Happy birthday Ki. Shershaah's journey with you has been incredible." We now know what he affectionately calls her.

Action time in the Valley

Over the weekend, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao met Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant-Governor Manoj Sinha and discussed making the Union territory a "favourite" shooting destination. The meeting was held at the Raj Bhavan in Srinagar. The new policies and guidelines for shooting in the Valley, which will be released shortly, were also on the agenda. Khan, who has wrapped up the shooting of Laal Singh Chaddha in Ladakh, will now shoot at various locations in Srinagar including the Amar Singh College, one of the oldest educational institutes in the region.

Hand-in-hand

After their loved-up holiday pictures from Goa last month, Kim Sharma and Leander Paes were spotted walking hand-in-hand in Khar. Looks like the two were enjoying a Sunday stroll. Things have moved swiftly between the actor and the tennis champ. They have gone from being friends to lovers, but prefer the pictures to do the talking, for now.

Looking ahead

On Sunday, Taapsee Pannu celebrated her 34th birthday in Ramgarh, near Nainital, where she is shooting for Ajay Bahl's Blurr. Co-actor Gulshan Devaiah shared a glimpse of Pannu cutting the cake on the set of the thriller. She wrote a philosophical post on her special day. The actor said that the last one week had been "tough, tricky and testing." She added, "In the new year, I shall again gather the strength to look forward to what life has in store for me." Blurr marks Pannu's debut as producer.

Quiet moves

Though she has been continuously travelling since March, Parineeti Chopra says that she has also been "working quietly." After visiting Turkey and Austria, Pari is now spending time with cousin Priyanka Chopra Jonas in London. During a Q&A on Instagram, she told a fan, "There are many factors involved in announcing a film. I have been shooting during the pandemic." She added that the projects will be made public soon.

Wrapping up a thrill ride

Vikrant Massey, Sanya Malhotra and Bobby Deol have finished shooting for the crime thriller, Love Hostel. Shanker Raman's directorial venture was shot in Bhopal, Patiala and Mumbai. "What a beautiful journey it has been so far, can't wait to unfold what lies ahead," wrote Massey while sharing the news. The film is produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment along with Manish Mundra.

Going South

Mrunal Thakur has bagged a role opposite South sensation Dulquer Salmaan in Hanu Raghavapudi's untitled Telugu film. The Toofaan actor, who turned 29 on Sunday, considers it a special birthday gift as it marks her debut in the South industry. The film, backed by veteran producer C Ashwini Dutt, was announced on Salmaan's 35th birthday on July 28.

Wonder years

On Sunday, Amrita Rao and RJ Anmol's son, Veer, completed nine months. They shared the tot's latest picture to mark Friendship Day. "First nine months you were inside me and today you complete nine months in our arms. In these 18 months of our friendship, you have taught Anmol and me so much every single day," the actor wrote. The new mommy added that the most "satisfying part" is to cook for him and to ensure that he eats everything. "Putting you to sleep feels like winning a gold medal at the Olympics. As much as we wait for you to fall asleep to breathe a bit of freedom, the joy to see you after you wake up is double," Rao wrote.

Something brewing

The latest pictures of Sussanne Khan and Arslan Goni from Ekta Kapoor's weekend bash has sparked fresh rumours about the two being more than just friends. For a while now, Hrithik Roshan's ex-wife has been a permanent fixture at Kapoor's bashes, which are largely attended by television folk. In snapshots shared on social media, Khan and Bigg Boss 14 contestant Aly Goni's cousin can be seen together. Tongues have been wagging since earlier this year about them being a twosome. Goni is part of Kapoor's close band of pals. He was seen in the Richa Chadha-starrer Jia Aur Jia (2017), and features in Kapoor's digital show, Main Hero Bol Raha Hoon.
