Looks like busking, which is popular in the US and Europe, is slowly becoming a trend in Mumbai. It is considered a dignified way of asking for money by showcasing your musical talent on the streets. When Pooja Bhatt's attention was drawn to one such person who was busking to the song, Jab koi baat bigad jaaye, she was moved by his soulful rendition of the track, sung by Kumar Sanu and Sadhana Sargam, from father Mahesh Bhatt's film Jurm (1990). A video of him on social media made the actor track down the singer, Shakeel, a Bengaluru-based musician, who has come to Mumbai to live his Bollywood dream. He has been busking in the by-lanes of Andheri with his UPI card number for online payments so that he can pay his music school fees. Bhatt immediately sent him a token of appreciation.
On Monday, Amitabh Bachchan terminated his contract with a paan masala brand, days after the commercial went on air. Big B's move comes after he faced backlash on social media for endorsing the product. His team stated that when he associated with the brand, he wasn't aware that it falls under surrogate advertising used to
promote cigarettes and alcohol in the guise of another product. The National Organisation for Tobacco Eradication hailed his decision.
Kajal Aggarwal has a new addition to the family - pet pooch Mia. Though the actor feared dogs since childhood, husband Gautam Kitchlu helped her overcome her phobia. "He has grown up with pets and understands the meaning of true compassion," she posted. "Mia has brought joy, cuddles, excitement and lots of hard work in our life," added Aggarwal. The two refer to Mia as their âchild'.
Swara Bhasker on Monday recorded her statement at the Patiala House Court in New Delhi in a case where she has alleged that a YouTube influencer and a Twitter user made objectionable comments against her. She had filed a police complaint earlier as some messages doing the rounds on social media were "intended to outrage her modesty."
Nawazuddin Siddiqui visited Kangana Ranaut's office at Pali Hill to discuss their upcoming film, Tiku Weds Sheru. "Guess who is in the house... my favourite," wrote Ranaut while sharing a click on Instagram. The film, which will drop digitally, is a dark comedy. Arjun Kapoor will headline Ajay Bahl's suspense drama thriller, The Lady Killer. The film, announced on Monday, is billed as the story of a small-town playboy, who falls in love with a self-destructive beauty. Kapoor refers to the film as his "most ambitious" and his character as the "most challenging yet." He thanked Bahl for "believing in him." Kapoor, who clocks a decade in the industry next year, is keen to surprise the audience with his choice of roles. He will also be seen
in Vishal Bhardwaj's son Aasmaan's directorial debut, Kuttey. Bahl earlier helmed Section 375 (2019) and BA Pass (2012). He is also wielding the directorial baton for the upcoming Taapsee Pannu-starrer Blurr.

Parineeti Chopra is the latest entrant to Sooraj Barjatya's Uunchai, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa and Anupam Kher. As soon as she returned from her holiday in the Maldives, she winged her way to Nepal where the unit is shooting. "I am honoured to be a part of the iconic cinematic universe of Sooraj Barjatya sir, the torch-bearer of India's family entertainers. I can't wait to work under his tutelage. Let the magic begin," she wrote on Instagram.Barjatya is shooting the friendship saga in Kathmandu and Lukla.
Shaan is releasing a reprised version of his chartbuster, Tanha dil tanha safar, to highlight the importance of mental health. The singer felt a track that addresses the issue was the need of the hour. "We have dealt with a delicate topic sensitively. I hope people enjoy it, and imbibe the message as well," says Shaan. The two-decade-old pop track, composed by Ram Sampath, remains Shaan's biggest hit.
