Shah Rukh Khan in a still from DDLJ
In the days leading up to Valentine's Day, several iconic romantic Hindi films were released in theatres for the audiences to witness its magic on the big screen. And how can one not include Shah Rukh Khan when you mention romance in Hindi cinema. While the superstar's iconic films were re-released in theatres, now owing to an increased demand, Yash Raj Films (YRF) has decided to extend its Nostalgia Film Festival featuring cult Shah Rukh Khan starrers for an additional week. The films will now run in theatres from the 16th to the 22nd of February.
The festival, showcasing iconic films such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Mohabbatein, and Veer-Zaara at select PVR-INOX and Miraj cinemas, all for a special price of Rs 112, continues to capture hearts and memories. This helps audiences who did not get a chance to watch the film in theatres during its initial release to live the experience. DDLJ is probably Shah Rukh Khan's most loved and treasured love stories. The film which also stars Kajol in the lead traces Raj's journey to win over his love Simran's family. The film directed by Aditya Chopra has it all- drama, plot, music, romance and dance.
Mohabbatein sees Khan play a music teacher who challenges the authority of the school principal played by Amitabh Bachchan. He uses the weapon of love to break rules imposed by Bachchan's character that does not allow students to follow their heart.
'Veer-Zaara', on the other hand, is a cross-border love story and we recommend you keep some tissues handy to wipe those tears.
