Regarding cult classics, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na cannot be forgotten. The film shaped a new generation of cinema and gave characters like Aditi, Jai and several others. Amid strong rumours of Imran Khan's comeback after 8 years, a picture of the actor with Genelia Deshmukh went viral on Friday.
Leena Aranha shared a picture of Imran and Genelia with herself on Instagram on Friday. As per her LinkedIn bio, she works at Aamir Khan Productions Pvt Ltd which produced Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na in 2008. Leena's caption read, "Always lovely to meet these two!"

Imran, who made his acting debut with Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, took a sabbatical after Katti Batti in 2015. He shot to fame with his portrayal of Jai Singh Rathore, also called Ratz by his friends. Jai belongs to a royal family. His father is dead and he lives with his mother, who has taught Jai to be a softer and polite person. Through the course of the film, his friendship with Aditi (Genelia) escalates to love.
Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na was one of the most successful and critically acclaimed films of that year. Directed by Abbas Tyrewala and produced by Mansoor Khan and Aamir Khan under Aamir Khan Productions, with Ajay K. Bijli and Sanjeev K. Bijli of PVR Pictures acting as co-producers. For the unversed, Imran is Aamir's nephew.
Recently, Imran made a public appearance after a long time. He attended the Indian Film Project. In viral videos from the event, the actor was seen singing the song Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na from Aa Gale Lag Jaa. The title of the film was derived from the song.
At the event, Imran reacted to the possibility of his comeback to acting. He said, "I don't have a clear answer, but I am reading scripts and having creative conversations with filmmakers. So hopefully, next year."
According to Pinkvilla's report, Imran is reportedly in talks with his Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na director Abbas Tyrewalla for a film. The concerned authorities are yet to give any confirmation. As per the report, Imran is looking at making his comeback with an espionage thriller series for a leading OTT platform.
