It's Jawan Day and there are no boundaries to euphoria among fans. The first show of the day started at 6 a.m. at Gaiety Galaxy in Mumbai. People thronged to watch their favourite on-screen idol on 70mm. Visuals from the theatre went viral on fan clubs.
Before the theatre opened for the audience, a bunch of people went on to form a human pyramid. The person at the top had a 'We Love SRK' flag which was specially made for the First Day First Show of Jawan.

The theatre hall turned into a party venue when the song Zinda Banda played on the big screen. People broke into an impromptu jig and celebrated to the fullest. Visuals show the amount of fun people had while watching the film.
Not just in Mumbai, fans across the country welcomed their superstar to theatres with firecrackers and elaborate festivities. From putting a garland around Shah Rukh's standee to dancing with colour bombs, Jawan's release was nothing less than a festival.
The advance bookings for Thursday closed at midnight. Shattering records, Shah Rukh's film is about to take a grand opening. Janmashtami and Dahi Handi holiday has a key role to play. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Jawan's advance booking closed at midnight with 557,000 tickets booked for Thursday. While PVR and INOX have collectively sold 448,000 tickets, Cinepolis stands at 109,000. His tweet read, "#JawanAdvanceBooking status⦠NOTE: Tickets sold for 'Thu' / 'Day 1' at NATIONAL CHAINS⦠Update: Wed, 11.59 pm. #PVR + #INOX: 448,000. #Cinepolis: 109,000. Total: 557,000 tickets sold (sic)."
Jawan is a Red Chillies Entertainment presentation directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan, and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film will be released worldwide in theatres on September 7, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. It also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, Girija Oak Godbole and others in pivotal roles. Deepika Padukone features in the film in a cameo role.
Jawan is Atlee's first Hindi directorial. He is known for his work in the South film industry. With the film, Nayanthara enters Bollywood.
