Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi's Jawan caused a storm of people at theatres across the country yesterday. The Atlee directorial has reportedly opened to a record-breaking box office collection. After its successful arrival, Kangana Ranaut lavished praise on Shah Rukh. The actress called him 'cinema God' and bowed down to his 'perseverance, hard work and humility'.

Sharing a long note on Instagram stories, Kangana wrote, "From being the ultimate lover boy of the nineties to a decade long struggle again to reinvent his connection with his audience to his late forties to mid fifties and ultimately rising as the quintessential Indian mass super hero at the age of 60 (almost) Is nothing short of super heroic even in real life. I remember the time when people wrote him off and mocked his choices but his struggle is a master class for all artists enjoying long careers but must reinvent and reestablish. SRK is the cinema God that cinema needs not just for his hugs or dimples but for some serious world saving as well. (smile face emoticons) Bowing down to your perseverance, hard work and humility King Khan."

She further congratulated the team of Jawan and wrote, "Congratulations to the whole team."

Jawan is a Red Chillies Entertainment presentation directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan, and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film released worldwide in theatres on September 7, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. It also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, Girija Oak Godbole and others in pivotal roles. Deepika Padukone features in the film in a cameo role. Sanjay Dutt has a special appearance too.

Jawan is Atlee's first Hindi directorial. He is known for his work in the South film industry. It is also his first film with Shah Rukh. With the film, Nayanthara enters Bollywood after a long wait. According to early reports, Jawan's first-day collection globally has crossed Rs.150 crores. Accurate figures for domestic and worldwide collections are yet to be released.

Jawan has the potential to beat Shah Rukh's previous film, Pathaan's humongous box office collection.
