Kartik Aaryan and Katrina Kaif to team up for Shah Rukh Khan’s production?

Both Kartik Aaryan and Katrina Kaif seem to be on a film-signing spree. Aaryan is gearing up for Dhamaka, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Dostana 2, a film with Om Raut, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo‘s remake. Kaif, on the other hand, has Tiger 3, the Superhero film with Ali Abbas Zafar, Phone Bhoot, and Sooryavanshi.

Now, a report by Bollywood Hungama states that the two might be coming together for Shah Rukh Khan's production tentatively tilted Freddy. A source informed the portal, "The film's producers have approached Katrina with the offer, and she's very keen to do it. The role is not only as pivotal as Kartik's but also in some ways, more important than his."

The film is directed by Ajay Bahl, known for films like BA Pass and Section 375. But not just the aforementioned films, Kaif is also likely to team up with Vijay Sethupathi for Sriram Raghavan's thriller.

This unusual pairing has generated a great deal of speculation about the project. It is being said that the two will feature in Andhadun (2018) director Sriram Raghavan next. Kat will begin work on it after completing Gurmmeet Singh Phone Bhoot. Earlier this month, it was announced that Sethupathi features in Santosh Sivan Mumbaikar. Looks like the Tamil star is adding more B-Town projects in his kitty.

Speaking of Katrina Kaif, the actress will be next seen in Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi, that was supposed to arrive in the cinemas on March 25 this year but was delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic that resulted in the lockdown. For the uninitiated, Katrina Kaif is reportedly reuniting with Zoya Akhtar too for a gangster drama starring Ranveer Singh as well. Kaif and Akhtar have worked together previously in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Bombay Talkies.

Kaif also completes 18 years in the Hindi film industry this year. Starting her career with Boom in 2003, she went on to be seen in films like Sarkar, Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Namastey London, Apne, Partner, Welcome, Singh is Kinng, New York, Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani, Raajneeti, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Ek Tha Tiger, Bang Bang, Jagga Jasoos, and Zero.
