Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra are celebrating their first wedding anniversary today. The two have always kept their relationship guarded and made it official only after tying the knot in February last year.
Kiara, who has been extremely cautious about her personal life, earlier revealed the reason behind not making her relationship with Sidharth official before the wedding. In an interview with Femina, the actress shared that they wanted to protect their relationship. Both are self-made actors who have earned their spaces in the industry on their own. She said, "Before we were married, it was an issue because we wanted to protect our relationship. We are both self-made actors and have earned our spaces in the industry on our own."
She further added, "It's something that we've put so much hard work into that we would not want it to be taken away by having the focus shift to our personal lives."

Sid and Kiara married in a traditional Hindu ceremony in the presence of family members and friends at Jaisalmer's Suryagarh Palace. The couple dated for a few years before taking the next step in their relationship. Talking about the intimate wedding, the actress said, "It was a beautiful union, and, of course, we wanted to share it with everybody." She continued, "We are public figures, and a certain inquisitiveness comes with it - which is fine. It's even sweet. But it cannot take away from our work. We are actors first and that's what we want to be known for."
After the dreamy wedding ceremony, Kiara shared the pictures from the wedding on Instagram and quoted the famous dialogue from the couple's film, Shershaah. The caption read, "Ab humari permanent booking hogayi hai. We seek your blessings and love on our journey ahead." Within hours, they surpassed Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal's wedding pictures in terms of likes on Instagram.
Workwise, Kiara was last seen in Satyaprem Ki Katha. The actress will share the screen space with Ram Charan in the pan-India film, Game Changer. She is reportedly the lead with Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR in War 2. On the other hand, Sidharth Malhotra recently made his web series debut with Rohit Shetty's âIndian Police Force' alongside Vivek Oberoi and Shilpa Shetty.
