The new episode of Koffee with Karan 8 saw Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor sharing the 'Kontroversial' couch (as coined by Alia Bhatt). The duo became the ultimate guests on the show, bringing the heat and sass!
The two beloved divas in B-Town delved into various topics like their husbands, kids, contemporaries, and much more. It's common news that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are extremely protective about their daughter Raha's face being on Instagram for the world to see even before she turns one (at the time of filming). Alia Bhatt finally got candid about her feelings about the situation, even disclosing the time she broke down when she thought her baby's face was on Instagram.
During this episode on Koffee with Karan 8, Kareena, Alia, and Karan Johar were talking about how their kids all have playdates with each other. 'Legacy friendships' as Karan Johar called it was an interesting tidbit of information. They revealed how there's a'mom' WhatsApp group where Kareena Kapoor Khan is perhaps the most active member. While this conversation ensued, Karan Johar recalled the time Alia Bhatt broke down when she thought someone posted a picture of Raha on Instagram.
Answering Karan, Alia said that while this incident unfolded, she was in Kashmir shooting, and it was especially difficult since she was shooting for the first time since giving birth. She addressed the whole 'bouncing back' phenomenon and said, "It takes really long for your body to bounce back. I was not sleeping at night; I was feeding and rushing in between shoots. So, I remember calling Ranbir and saying, âListen, I'm finding it very difficult'. So he pushed his work and said, âDo not worry. I'm going to come pick her up. I'm going to take her. I've pushed my work. She'll be with me'."

Alia Bhatt mentioned how Ranbir Kapoor came to her rescue and took control of the situation. The doting father took charge of Raha so Alia could relax a bit more. But, since it was the first separation from Raha, the anxiety came knocking. "So, that guilt carried on, and one and a half days later, when I travelled back, I saw a photo where the side of her face was visible, and I just broke down." She added.
Alia Bhatt also clarified that the breakdown was not regarding her not being 'proud' of her baby but in fact, "Honestly, we're proud of our baby. But it's just like there were too many emotions put together, and I'm so protective of my loved ones that I felt like, âOh God! I don't want that conversation'. But I realised that I was just exhausted and overwhelmed at that time."
