Ananya Panday
The past few months have been all work for Ananya Panday who was filming Shakun Batra's yet-untitled domestic noir, co-starring Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Now, the actor has turned her attention to Liger, which sees her collaborating with South sensation Vijay Deverakonda for the first time.
Over the weekend, Panday began shooting for the last leg of the Puri Jagannadh-directed film in Bandra. It is heard that the unit filmed an elaborate scene that required 150 junior artistes. "The production team took all necessary precautions as they filmed the crowd scene. In the sequence, Ananya emerges from a building and waves out to the crowd. They shot it at a newly constructed building in Bandra, where they will continue to film throughout the stint," says a source.
Deverakonda, who essays the role of a boxer in the actioner, has arrived in Mumbai and is expected to join the leading lady later this week. The source adds, "The film was about 75 per cent complete when the lockdown was imposed. The director intends to wrap up the remaining portions by the month-end." The multi-lingual, backed by Karan Johar, marks the Bollywood debut of the Arjun Reddy star.
