The versatile actor who is all set to amaze the audiences with his never-seen-before avatar of a transgender in his much-awaited next, 'Haddi', shared his experiences of working with female directors in an interview that he gave to a leading portal a long ago. Besides working with Anusha Rizvi, Debamitra Biswal and Nandita Das, the 'Sacred Games' star has also worked with Reema Kagti for 'Talaash', for which he garnered positive reviews and appreciation from fans as well as from critics for delivering a scintillating performance in the 2012 Aamir Khan-starrer mystery thriller.
While speaking about his experiences of working with female directors and filmmakers, Nawzuddin said, "I have worked with many renowned female directors and that helped me a great deal. I realised that women look at the world differently, They are far more compassionate and they see beauty in everything. For most men, it's often about power and control. That also reflected in our relationships. Men tend to be more territorial and unko adhikaar jatana hai, auraton par bhi. The female gaze is kinder and sensitive. I am trying to get that POV (point of view) right."
