Vidya Balan plays a forest officer in Sherni
It's understandable when acclaimed film, theatre and OTT actor Mukul Chadda gets excited about sharing screen space with Vidya Balan in Amit Masurkar's Sherni. "Vidya is a wonderful person. She's such a giving co-actor, that I forgot what a huge star she is," says Chadda of Balan, who is known for her work ethic and easy-going personality in the industry.
However, the shoot of the Amazon Prime Video film was not just about an exchange of histrionics, but also about free flowing fun and bonhomie. "Despite being an incredibly committed actor, Vidya is quite the prankster. She has a wicked sense of humour, which she delivers with a straight face. And of course, an absolutely infectious laugh. She has such a joyful and warm energy that everyone in her proximity feels at ease," recalls Chadda, with the hope of working with Balan again.

Releasing in June, Chadda says that the film is "quite unusual". "It revolves around the theme of wildlife and its interplay with the people living around it. I enjoyed playing a character who has an interesting relationship with the upright forest officer played by Vidya," adds the actor. The film also features Sharad Saxena, Vijay Raaz, Ila Arun, Brijendra Kala, and Neeraj Kabi in pivotal roles.
