Ahead of the release of Major, a biopic based on 26/11 martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the braveheart's parents and lead actor Adivi Sesh visited the National Security Guards (NSG) camp in Powai that has been named after him. Unnikrishnan's family had come down to Mumbai to visit the memorial at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel on November 26. Taking the opportunity, the officials at the NSG camp extended an invitation to them for November 27, a day ahead of the martyr's 13th death anniversary. His father K Unnikrishnan and mother Dhanalakshmi, along with Sesh, were given a tour of the venue and an insight into the training of the soldiers, followed by lunch with the officers.

Sesh was moved that the family invited him to the camp. "I'm grateful to uncle and aunty for deeming me worthy to be a part of this experience. In the course of the film, I have been privileged to interact with the soldiers, and learn their life stories," he says. Through the multi-lingual, Sesh will bring the hero's story to the screen - from his glorious years in the Army to the attacks at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel.
