Raj Kundra reveals Shilpa Shetty ‘broke into laughter’ after learning about his porn films case

Shilpa Shetty's husband, Raj Kundra, made headlines when he was accused of shooting and streaming pornographic content. The businessman has since remained relatively quiet about the case. Finally, Raj Kundra has decided to address all the questions people have in mind. During a recent interview, the actor opened up about Shilpa Shetty's reaction after she heard about the case.

While discussing Shilpa Shetty's response to the allegations, Raj told Hindustan Times that Shilpa broke into laughter when she heard about the case. The businessman-turned-actor said, "It was horrible! But luckily, we know each other so well. If someone told me something about her, I know how much to believe. She broke into laughter when she heard about the case and said it's not true. If you are living at home together and there is something like porn involved, you would know. We are both self-made. She knew it's rubbish but maintained her silence and dignity. There is a public perception she had to live up to. Unfortunately, she bore the brunt of me being involved by losing certain contracts, work on television. I found that very unfair."

When Raj was in jail, Vivaan was relatively younger, and it was obvious that he would have questioned Shilpa about his father. Talking about it, Raj shared, "Viaan asked what's happening, so Shilpa told him ‘there are hundreds of questions dad has to answer. Once he does, he will be back'… Viaan was 10. Shilpa spoke to someone at his school; god knows what parents were telling their children. He is a rock-solid kid. He would draw something and send it to me with a letter in jail. He would write ‘papa missing you, come back soon, finish your work'."

He added, "For Viaan, I am his hero. Viaan knew his dad's company is in his name, and I would do no wrong. For him, it's like a bad dream."

On the work front, Shilpa was most recently seen in the action-thriller 'Indian Police Force.' The series is created and directed by Rohit Shetty and Sushwanth Prakash. It also stars Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi and is streaming on Prime Video. The series has been receiving rave reviews from the audience and critics alike. Meanwhile, Raj Kundra has recently made his debut with a film based on his life, ‘UT69.'
