After the 2011 Aarakshan and the 2015 Piku, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone will be seen together in Nag Ashwin's magnum opus that also stars Prabhas. But that's not all, the dynamic duo is also collaborating on another film and that's the remake of The Intern. This film is directed by Badhaai Ho fame Amit Sharma.
For the uninitiated, the late actor Rishi Kapoor was earlier signed for the part that Bachchan essays, unfortunately he passed away last year on April 30. Here's Padukone's announcement of the film, have a look at her post right here:
Talking about Bachchan, he has a massive line-up of films but it seems he may not be able to be a part of the heist thriller Aankhen 2. A trade source reveals, "In the past two months, there was little progress on the impending schedule. Since the film was taking longer than expected to go on floors, Bachchan saab and Sidharth could no longer put their other projects on hold and graciously bowed out of the movie. Sidharth will be tied up for the next few months with Mission Majnu and Thank God while Bachchan saab started shooting for Goodbye."
The makers, on the lookout for a fresh cast, have apparently knocked on the doors of Anil Kapoor and Rana Daggubati. mid-day reached out to Bachchan, Malhotra, Deo and producer Tarun Aggarwal, who remained unavailable for comment.
Deepika, meanwhile, has films like Pathan, Shakun Batra's next, â83, a film on Draupadi, and Nag Ashwin's film coming up.
