Sidharth Malhotra
Sidharth Malhotra made his acting debut in the year 2012 with the Karan Johar film 'Student of The Year' along with Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. Before his acting debut, he assisted Karan Johar in the film 'My Name Is Khan' starring Shah Rukh Khan. Malhotra believes in taking his career slow and steady instead of being part of the rat race. Notably, Sidharth has avoided excessive PR tactics, refrained from ubiquitous appearances, and has maintained a relatively low profile.
Currently, Sidharth Malhotra is preparing for the release of his first web series Indian Police Force created by Rohit Shetty. Malhotra will be seen joining Shetty's cop universe along with Shilpa Shetty, Vivek Oberoi, and Shweta Tiwari. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Sidharth spoke about how he remained calm, confident, and secure in a cutthroat industry like the Hindi film industry.
Ahead of Sidharth Malhotra's birthday, we look back at the time when he spoke about his calm and composed approach to his job as compared to his contemporaries who are on a signing spree and working on increasing visibility. In response, the Shershaah star shared his perspective, stating, "It's been almost 11 years now, so after the first few years, you realize that eventually, it's what you bring on screen that matters. The before chatter is not really relevant because you can build up as much as you want. You could be vocal, showcasing 'I've got this, this, and this together,' 'this is what I can do.' I believe in demonstrating what one can do, and there is a sense of confidence and security in knowing that you bring something valuable to the table, something that lends itself to the larger screen and a particular tonality of action."
Sidharth attributed his mindset to learnings from the initial years of his career, drawing on his background and upbringing. He also emphasized on staying focused on his work and not getting swayed by external factors. He stressed that he would rather let his work speak than create a certain PR image or an aura beforehand. He said that he believes in coming up with content and receiving genuine responses for it.
