Soha Ali Khan started her Bollywood journey with the 2004 film 'Dil Maange More' but did you know that Soha used to work in a bank before entering the glamorous world of films? Before becoming an actor, she worked as a banker and as a consultant at the Ford Foundation.

Soha, in an interview with Mint, shared that she worked at the Ford Foundation before finishing her master's, and later she went back to work there. "After finishing my master's, I again went to the Ford Foundation for a year and moved to Mumbai to work for Citigroup as a private banker.... I worked (there) for a year and a half. I used to handle the investment portfolio of HNI (high net-worth individual) clients. This was in 2003, when our country didn't have too many investment avenues, so I found myself doing the same thing over and over again," shared Soha.

The actress even revealed that she never thought of films as a career option and that, after she decided to enter the industry, her parents weren't happy. "My parents were not happy about my decision to join the film industry. They thought I was doing injustice to my education and my mother also felt that I wasn't cut out to be a typical heroine," Soha shared in the interview.

The actress revealed that back in the 1980s and 1990s, it was not a great time for cinema. The actress revealed that she found the films from that era to be very regressive and frivolous, especially concerning women.

The 'Rang De Basanti' actress opened up and talked about how she is who she is because of her studies. Even if she had known that she would end up working in films, she would have put in the same hard work to complete her studies. "I am who I am because of what I studied, the experience I gained and the places I lived in. I may have joined the film industry, but that does not mean my education was a waste. I have acquired a skill set to be able to read huge amounts of material, simplify jargon and pick out the salient points," Soha shared.

On the work front, Soha Ali Khan was most recently seen in the 2022 web series 'Hush Hush.' The story of the series revolves around five women. Juhi Chawla, Ayesha Jhulka, Karishma Tanna, Kritika Kamra, and Shahana Goswami also play lead roles in the web series.
