On Wednesday, as the deadline passed for social media platforms to comply with the new rules that the Centre has mandated, several B-Town folk, including Sonakshi Sinha, wondered what would happen if Twitter, Instagram and WhatsApp were banned for not complying with the government's regulations. Considering social media is an integral part of the daily life of almost all the stars, netizens speculated what they would do without it. The Union Ministry of Electronics and IT has written to the social media platforms, directing them to respond on their compliance to the new digital rules as soon as possible, "preferably today (Thursday)". In its notice to the social media players, the ministry said: "If you are considered as SSMI (significant social media intermediaries), please provide the reasons for the same, including the registered users on each of the services provided by you."
On Wednesday, Sona reacted to the buzz by sharing a glammed up snapshot and captioned it, "If it's gonna be the last post... it has to be a selfie." Some fans reminded the actor that she forgot to pout for the photograph - a must when stars take selfies.

In her new Instagram picture, the actress gives a half turn at the camera with her hair stylishly falling on one side of her face. She wears a black vest for a casual impact, and reveals a hint of a smile.
On the work front, Sonakshi Sinha will be seen in 'Bulbul Tarang', which is directed Shree Narayan Singh and is said to be inspired by a true story. The film also features Raj Babbar and Tahir Raj Bhasin. The film will have a digital release on Netflix. She also has the film 'Bhuj: The Pride Of India' lined up where she will be seen alongside actors Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk and Pranitha Subhash. Besides this, Sona is gearing up for her web series debut with Reema Kagti's 'Fallen', where she plays a cop. 'Fallen' also stars Gulshan Devaiah and Vijay Varma.
