On the work front, the man of the masses is gearing up for his maiden directorial venture 'Fateh'. The film boasts Hollywood-style action sequences and promises to take the Indian action genre a notch up. The film, which has been shot across the globe at novel locations, also features Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead role.
Sonu recently heaped praises on his co-star Jacqueline. He said in a statement, "Fateh is going to be Jacqueline's best. I always keep on saying that she has done a wonderful job in the film, and her performance in Fateh will be her best performance."
'Fateh' is based on real-life instances of cybercrime experienced by people during the Covid-pandemic. "The idea for 'Fateh' came into my mind when I was helping people and came to know that many people were being fooled and cheated in my name. They were given false loans, promises to meet me or to get any sort of help from my team during a pandemic," Sood said in an interview with ANI.
Recently, Sood welcomed seasoned actor Naseeruddin Shah on board. Sharing a BTS picture, Sood wrote, "Directing someone I have admired all my life was so special. You will be proud of FATEH sir." Reportedly, Naseeruddin Shah will be seen playing the role of a hacker in the film, which revolves around cybercrime. Produced by Sood's Shakti Sagar Productions and Zee Studios, âFateh' is set to release this year.
