Sourav Ganguly
Seems like the 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' fever is taking over all. Karan Johar returned to the director's seat after 7 years with the film starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. The film is everything that a true blue Bollywood film is known for- emotion, drama, comedy, romance, and music. The film was released in theatres on July 28 and has been getting positive reactions from audiences.
Cricketer Sourav Ganguly also headed to the theatres over the weekend to watch the film. Fans who spotted him at the theatre took to social media to share pictures with the former Indian cricket team captain. Sharing pictures of Sourav Ganguly in the theatres, a Twitter user wrote, "Sourav Ganguly watched the same show as mine of RARKPK last night at Inox South City Mall Kolkata. Later managed to get a pic with Dada. Also asked him movie kemon laaglo (how did you like the movie), he said Daarun (Awesome). Same thoughts as mine."
In the film, Alia Bhatt plays a Bengali character named Rani Chatterjee, who is a news anchor by profession. Churni Ganguly and Tota Roy Chowdhury play her parents in the film while Shabana Azmi plays her grandmother. Ranveer Singh plays a boisterous Delhi boy who falls in love with Alia's character. Jaya Bachchan and Dharmendra play his grandparents in the film.
On Sunday, Shilpa Shetty also took to her social media handle to praise the film. "Watched #rockyaurranikipremkahani! @RanveerOfficial was ROCKingggg, u are a born entertainer! U all have to watch him cause whatever I say would fall short⦠now I'm an official fan you are sooo special," she wrote.
"Rani @aliaa08 reigned like a queen with her beauty and performance that creates cinematic brilliance, what lethal combo you are my darling. The true star of the show #KaranJohar who stays loyal to his craft and audiences making us laugh, cry, dance with a stellar cast and a HUGE budget stays true to his style giving us "The Bollywood" we have missed for a while ! #paisavasool #entertainer This is definitely a must watch in a theatre," she added.
