After undergoing a cardiac arrest and receiving an angioplasty earlier this year, Sushmita Sen is already engaged in promoting her latest show 'Taali', helmed by the director who has won the National award, Ravi Jadhav. Beyond matters concerning her health and professional endeavors, the actress garnered significant attention last year when Lalit Modi, the contentious businessman and cricket administrator who established the Indian Premier League (IPL), publicly declared his romantic involvement with Sushmita, hinting at an impending marriage.
Subsequent to Lalit's proclamations, Suhmita found herself labeled as a "gold digger" across various social media platforms. She took to Instagram to share her response to this derogatory term. Presently, Sushmita has chosen to reveal more about this incident, asserting that her private life is beyond the purview of public scrutiny. In a conversation with Zoom Entertainment, she expressed, "An insult is an insult when you receive it, I don't receive it. So it went out of the window. There are certain things that are nobody's business." Sushmita also has been associated with her former partner Rohman Shawl. Despite parting ways last year, the two have managed to maintain their friendship. Addressing her current relationship status, Sushmita confirmed her single status by stating, "I am very much single."
In July of the preceding year, Lalit Modi unveiled images of his vacations with Sushmita in the Maldives and Sardinia, simultaneously disclosing their romantic involvement. While Sushmita consistently maintained her silence on this matter, she decided to confront online trolls through an Instagram post, wherein she candidly addressed the "gold digger" accusation.
