The Archies trailer dropped in today and it proves that the film is all we need for the Christmas season. Headlined by Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Dot, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda, the musical is directed by Zoya Akhtar. The film will release on Netflix on December 7, 2023.

The Archies is based on the popular comic, Archie. Set in the '60s, the film revolves around Archie Andrews (Agastya Nanda), Betty Cooper (Khushi Kapoor), Veronica Lodge (Suhana Khan), Ethel Muggs (Dot), Jughead Jones (Mihir Ahuja), Reggie Mantle (Vedang Raina) and Dilton Doiley (Yuvraj Menda).

The plotline of the Archie comics centers around Archie who lives in Riverdale, and attends Riverdale High School. He is a typical small-town teenager, extremely clumsy and can be very stupid. While Veronica Lodge is his crush, he is also fond of Betty Cooper. The story includes various plotlines that make it relatable.

Agastya Nanda as Archie

Director Zoya introduced debutant Agastya Nanda as Archie. She wrote, "Meet Archie Andrews. The heartthrob of Riverdale who isn't sure where his heart belongs."

Suhana Khan as Veronica Lodge

Debutante Suhana Khan plays Veronica Lodge. Zoya's caption for her read, "Sassy to classy and everything in between, the world better watch out for Veronica Lodge ‘cause here she comes' Meet Ronnie on The Archies."

Khushi Kapoor as Betty Cooper

Debutante Khushi Kapoor is signed for the role of Betty Cooper. Zoya wrote, "She might be the girl next door but she's not one to be taken granted for. Meet Betty Cooper on The Archies."

Vedang Raina as Reggie Mantle

Newcomer Vedang Raina plays Reggie Mantle. Introducing him, Zoya wrote, "The only thing Reggie loves more than himself is himself winning. Beware, he'll charm his way through your heart. Catch him on The Archies."

Yuvraj Menda as Dilton Doiley

Yuvraj Menda enters the world of Archie as Dilton Doiley. Zoya wrote for him, "Meet Dilton, Riverdale's own walking library. When he isn't hanging with the gang, he's inventing to make the world a better place. Get set to geek out with him and The Archies."

Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones

Introducing Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones, Zoya wrote, "The only food Jughead Jones share with you is food for thought. Hide your burgers and milkshakes, Jughead and The Archies arrive soon."

Dot as Ethel Muggs
