Actor-turned-author Twinkle Khanna went to London to do her MA in Creative and Life Writing. While the actress has completed her course, she revealed that he dissertation has been longlisted for the Pat Kavanagh Prize by Goldsmiths, University of London. Sharing the news with her followers on social media, the author displayed her wit by suggesting that Karan Johar cast the wrong people for his film 'Student Of The Year'.
Sharing a picture of herself and a screenshot of the message she has received from the university, she wrote on Instagram, "A big moment, and at first, I was hesitant about sharing it. But it goes to show that age is truly just a number and doesn't hinder you from achieving your goals. I received an exceptional distinction for my final dissertation, which has now also been longlisted for the Pat Kavanagh Prize by Goldsmiths, University of London. May I add that perhaps my old friend cast the wrong people in âStudent of the Year.'"

Reacting to the post, Karan Johar, also a childhood friend of Khanna, expressed his joy. "Congratulations my darling always proud of you and you are right! You are the eternal student of the year," he commented. Karan's 2012 directorial titled 'Student Of The Year' launched the career of actors Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. The second instalment of the film was released in 2019 with Ananya Panday, Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria in the lead.
Twinkle Khanna's actor-husband Akshay Kumar also praised her for her achievement. "Congratulations Tina (a heart and a clapping hands emoji). I also give you the exceptional distinction every year for being the best mom to our kids but this one is so special. Thank you for making us all so proud." Actor Neena Gupta also praised her, saying, "Congratulations we are always learning."
Twinkle Khanna who quit the movies long back displayed her writing skills by being a published author. She recently decided to pursue academics and completed her MS while being stationed in London. Her daughter Nitara also accompanied her. Khanna has authored books like 'Mrs Funnybones', 'The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad', and 'Pyjamas are forgiving'. Her fourth book is titled 'Welcome To Paradise'.
