As we approach the 75th Republic Day, the Republic Day parade will take center stage as a tribute to the achievements of women in India. Actress Vaani Kapoor leads the 'Naari Ko Samarpit 26th Jan' campaign, a modest initiative dedicated to promoting women empowerment.
The parade will commence with a performance by 100 female musicians and two segments highlighting the contributions of women in the Army, Navy, and Air Force, as well as other military forces.
Vaani took to Instagram to share a video announcing the benefits of different schemes offered by the government, such as 'Ujjwala Yojana' and 'Aayushman Card.' The video also showcased the announcement that the 'Naari Ko Samarpit 26th Jan' campaign will be held at Kartavya Path in New Delhi on 26th Jan. She captioned the post, saying, "For the first time, let us celebrate Republic Day dedicated to women! #NaariKaRepublicDay #NaariKoSamarpit26thJan @narendramodi @mygovindia "
The actress, commenting on her involvement, said, "I am happy to be associated with this nationwide campaign 'Naari Ko Samarpit 26th Jan.' The Government of India has been focusing on promoting âNari Shakti' in the country. Women are the bedrock of our society and this campaign aims to recognize and celebrate the immense contribution of women."
She added, "It highlights that empowering women takes the country closer to all-round progress. I believe women should be empowered so that they can realize their full potential and this initiative highlights the same."
This emphasis on Nari Shakti builds upon the immense progress made by the government in recent years. Initiatives like the 'Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana' for girl child to secure her future, the 'Ujjwala Yojana' for women's safety and give smoke-free kitchen, and a healthy life to women and their families.
'Ujjwala Yojana' also provides free LPG Connection, and the Aayushman Card for universal healthcare which stands as a pillar of support for India's female citizens. As India prepares to showcase its 'Nari Shakti' to the world, the upcoming Republic Day promises to be a moment of pride and inspiration for all.
Talking about Vaani's future project she will be seen in 'Raid 2' opposite Ajay Devgn. Director Raj Kumar Gupta's sequel to the 2018 crime thriller of the same name isn't the only big-ticket project in her kitty.
Kapoor also has a big-screen offering in debutant director Sonali Rattan's 'Sarvagunn Sampanna.' The social comedy which is set in the '90s and sees the actor as the doppelgänger of a well-known star, leading to hilarious results. After these two projects she also has YRF's web series, 'Mandala Murders.'
