Varun Dhawan, who was last seen in the movie Bawaal alongside Janhvi Kapoor, is currently busy filming his upcoming project. The new film, tentatively titled VD 18, is an action-packed entertainer and marks Varun's first collaboration with renowned filmmaker Atlee, known for Jawan. While the working title of the film is VD 18, recent reports suggest that it now has an official title.

So is Varun Dhawan's next with Atlee renamed? according to Bollywood Hungama, Varun Dhawan's action entertainer will be named "Baby John," previously referred to as VD 18. The filmmakers have obtained the censor certificate for the teaser from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), and news about the film's unique title has started to circulate. The report also mentions that the teaser for Baby John is set to be released in a few days, possibly on Saturday, January 27.
In May 2023, Pinkvilla was the first to inform its readers that Varun Dhawan had teamed up with Atlee and producer Murad Khetani for an action-packed entertainer.

Apart from Varun Dhawan, the cast of Baby John includes Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jackie Shroff. The movie, directed by Kalees and produced by Atlee and Priya Atlee's A For Apple Studios, Murad Khetani's Cine1 Studios, and Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios, is a remake of Atlee's 2016 film Theri, starring Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Amy Jackson.
On January 15, in celebration of Makar Sankranti and Pongal, the makers of the highly anticipated film shared a video giving a glimpse of the Muhurat Pooja. Varun Dhawan took to his Instagram Stories to share the video with the caption, "Vd18 Title reveal soonâ¦"

According to reports from India Today, the director of "Main Tera Hero" is 'putting together a project for the duo.' The official confirmation for the same is yet to come. If these reports of their collaboration are true, it will mark the fourth professional collaboration between the father-son duo after "Main Tera Hero," "Judwaa 2," and "Coolie No. 1." It was earlier reported by Pinkvilla that the two are planning a film that will go on floors in April 2024.
