Vidya Balan winged her way to Kashmir to attend the Winter Festival 2021 at Baramulla. The actor was the chief guest at the event organised by the Indian Army that witnessed winter sports and cultural performances. As it was her first trip to the Valley, it proved to be a memorable experience. Producer husband Siddharth Roy Kapur, who accompanied her, hoped to shoot one of his films in the region.
Balan has been a part of the Hindi film industry for the last 16 years. She made her Bollywood debut with Pradeep Sarkar's Parineeta in 2005 and went on to be seen in films like Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Paa, Ishqiya, No One Killed Jessica, The Dirty Picture, Kahaani, Kahaani 2, Tumhari Sulu and Mission Mangal. She's now gearing up for a film called Sherni and was last seen in Shakuntala Devi.
On the work front, Vidya Balan was appreciated by the audience and critics for her spectacular performance in Shakuntala Devi which was released online amidst the lockdown period. Now, the actress is currently preparing for her next Sherni. The film is directed by Amit Masurkar, and the story explores the man-animal conflict, featuring Vidya Balan as a forest officer. For the uninitiated, Sherni is being shot in the jungles of Madhya Pradesh.
