The Netflix docu-series, 'The Romantics', which is a tribute to the legacy of Yash Chopra, YRF, and their cultural impact on India in the past 50 years, has been released on Netflix.
Through the four episode series, actors, directors and talents associated with YRF spoke about the movies of Yash Raj and what went behind them. In the process, celebrities also spoke about the unknown side of the media-shy filmmaker Aditya Chopra. One of the biggest reveal was Aditya Chopra and Hrithik Roshan having dance face-off as kids.
In the second episode of the series, while talking about Aditya Chopra and their childhood, Abhishek Bachchan said, "When we had birthday parties, there was the inevitable dance competition and the dance competition was the domain of two people. Two rivals. Two opposite sides of style."
"Adi won every dance competition year after year after year. And who was number two to him- Hrithik Roshan," added Karan Johar who also moved in the same circle as a kid.

Adding to it, Abhishek said, "So the minute they'd walk into the party, they'd just be looking at each other. It was almost like Western showdown."
Sharing his thoughts on the same, Hrithik Roshan is heard saying, "I don't know what happened. He was supposed to be the one who grows up and does those moves." Hrithik also called his dance moves "pretty amazing" and added, "they sometimes did not even look much like dancing but it was still very amazing to watch."

Abhishek Bachchan further revealed that as kids they had a game called Cheeni. The purpose of the game was that the minute one sees Aditya Chopra, they scream 'cheeni' and run away. "I hope that summarises what Adi was for us. He was a tyrant," says Abhishek Bachchan.
Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Rani Mukerji and Hrithik Roshan, among others, have spoken about Chopra's legacy in the docu-series, directed by Oscar and Emmy-nominated filmmaker Smriti Mundhra, who returns to Netflix after the success of 'Indian Matchmaking' and 'Never Have I Ever'. Interestingly, the reclusive head of YRF, Aditya Chopra, has also recorded his first on-camera interview for The Romantics.
