John Abraham
Over-zealous fans of John Abraham, who could not get a glimpse of the star shooting at the Dhanipur air strip in Aligarh, reportedly had a run-in with the security. Abraham has been shooting for high-octane action sequences for Lakshya Raj Anand's Attack. Seeing Johnny boy indulging in stunts atop a bike made several people from the adjoining areas rush to see the live action from close quarters, and breaching the security cover.
After booking Eid 2021 for his action thriller, Satyameva Jayate 2, which releases on May 13, Abraham has now set his sights on the Independence Day weekend. On Sunday, the actor-producer announced that his next action thriller, Attack, will hit the screens on August 13. Lakshya Raj Anand's directorial venture also features Jacqueline Fernandez. There is a buzz that Abraham-starrer Mumbai Saga, which was to drop digitally, will now release in theatres.
The fictional story is said to be inspired by true events, set against a hostage crisis. It also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh in key roles. Attack is written and directed by debutant Lakshya Raj Anand and is a story of rescue by an attack team led by a lone ranger played by John.
John Abraham says, "Attack is a taut, action entertainer with a strong storyline...a genre I love! At JA Entertainment, it is our endeavour to push the envelope and produce films that entertain and have something significantly different to show to our increasingly discerning audience. Releasing the film in theatres this Independence Weekend adds to my excitement."
