It has been a hectic month for Shah Rukh Khan. As soon as he returned to Mumbai after a long schedule of Atlee's Jawan, the superstar began shooting nights for Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki. Over the weekend, Khan shot in Bhayander on Saturday night as usual, before gearing up to film an elaborate race sequence at one of the local grounds in the wee hours of the morning. A crowd of 500 people was amassed for the scene that also features Boman Irani.

A source reveals, "Since the scene required over 500 people, the team secured special permission from the local authorities. They granted permission to shoot only on early Sunday morning, thus ensuring that the locals are not inconvenienced on weekdays. The arrangement worked for the film's team too, as shooting in regular hours during weekdays would pose issues of crowd management. The cast and crew strictly adhered to the timeline, beginning the shoot at 6 am and wrapping it up by 8 am." Hirani's social comedy, which reportedly revolves around immigration, marks his first collaboration with Khan as well as leading lady Taapsee Pannu.
