Forgotten Bollywood heroes and how they look now

Harman Baweja: The actor, who is best remembered as the lookalike of Hrithik Roshan, suddenly became a topic of discussion in 2017 after his pictures surfaced online. He looked unrecognisable in a salt-and-pepper look. Harman Baweja made his Bollywood debut opposite Priyanka Chopra in his father Harry Baweja's film Love 2050 in 2008. The film, however, proved to be a box office dud. His other films Victory (2009) and What's Your Raashee? (2009) tanked as well. After a string of flops, Harman Baweja made his comeback with Dishkiyaaoon (2014) which saw Shilpa Shetty donning the producer's hat but that film too failed at the Box Office. His long-delayed film with Genelia Deshmukh 'It's My Life' is slated for TV premiere on November 29, skipping the theatrical release.

Chandrachur Singh: He breezed into Bollywood in 1996 with two successful films - Maachis and Tere Mere Sapne. He proved his versatility by playing a militant in off-beat serious drama Maachis, about militancy in Punjab, and an NRI who falls in love with a desi girl in romantic comedy Tere Mere Sapne. Later in Josh and Kya Kehna he was seen romancing Aishwarya Rai and Preity Zinta respectively. After the 2001 release Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa the actor suffered health problems and was out of action. He made a comeback with the web film Aarya, starring Sushmita Sen, this year.

Rahul Roy: It was 28 years ago that actor Rahul Roy shot to fame with his blockbuster film, Aashiqui. His subsequent attempts at a comeback - To Be Or Not To Be in 2013 - went rather unnoticed. The former Bigg Boss winner is planning a comeback soon.

Kumar Gaurav: Manoj Tuli, better known as Kumar Gaurav, acted in several films such as Love Story, Teri Kasam and Kaante. Gaurav married Namrata Dutt, daughter of Sunil Dutt and Nargis and sister of Sanjay Dutt. The actor is away from the limelight for quite some time now.

Hemant Birje: Hemant is best remembered for the titular role in the 1985 film 'Tarzan' with Kimi Katkar. While he tried his luck in Bollywood after Tarzan, which received a humongous response from the audience, none of his films could ever match its success. He soon switched to character actor roles and became a regular actor in Mithun Chakraborty films. Hemant Birje was last seen in Salman Khan's Garv.

Zayed Khan: He made his Bollywood debut opposite Esha Deol in Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne in 2003. He starred in several films thereon that failed to set the cash registers ringing at the box office. He was last seen in Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene in 2015 and entered the small screen world in 2017 with the TV series Haasil.

Bijay Anand: He is best known for his character in Ajay Devgn and Kajol-starrer Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha. He played Kajol's fiance Rahul Bajaj in the film. The actor made a comeback of sorts in 2018 with Dil Hi Toh Hai (TV Series) playing the character of Vijaypath. He was also later seen in Sunny Leone's biopic 'Karenjit Kaur'. Bijay Anand played the character of Sunny Leone's father in the web show.

Sumeet Saigal: The man with dashing looks acted with top actors like Sanjay Dutt, Govinda and Mithun Chakraborty, but while his acting was appreciated, his films did not work. Interestingly, the veteran is now known as the father of actress Sayyeshaa Saigal.

Jugal Hansraj: Jugal Hansraj started his career in showbiz as a child artiste in the 1983 film Masoom, which starred Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi. His first film as an adult was Aa Gale Lag Jaa (1994), where he was paired with Urmila Matondkar, who incidentally played his sister in his first film Masoom. The actor's stint as writer and director came with the 2008 computer-animated film Roadside Romeo which was produced jointly by Yash Raj Films and Walt Disney Studios. The Pyaar Impossible director has always kept his personal life private. He married his girlfriend Jasmine in a private ceremony in Michigan in 2014.

Sharad Kapoor: He made a mark with his film Dastak co-starring Mukul Dev and Sushmita Sen. He went on to act in films like Lakshya and Josh. After being out of the limelight for a few years, he made an appearance in 2019's Jabariya Jodi.

Aarya Babbar: He made his Bollywood debut with Ab Ke Baras. Son of veteran actor Raj Babbar, Aarya couldn't make a mark in Bollywood despite trying hand at it multiple times. He has been part of big films such as Guru, Tees Maar Khan, Ready, Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, to name a few. Aarya also participated in Bigg Boss Season 8 but was evicted on Day 56. Aarya married his girlfriend Jasmine Puri in 2016.

Uday Chopra: We did a double take when we saw this snapshot of Uday Chopra. The Dhoom franchise actor looked like a far cry from his usual hunky self with grey hair. Aditya Chopra's brother seems to have let himself go. Uday, who is based in the US, looks after the home banner's international division. He used to be active on Twitter with his sharp-witted posts, but for a while now he has steered clear of social networking. Last seen on the big screen in Dhoom 3 (2013), he found himself in the news due to his rumoured relationship with Nargis Fakhri. However, they have split.

Fardeen Khan: He made his Bollywood debut with 'Prem Aggan' in 1998. Fardeen, however, has been missing in action for quite a while. In fact, his last release was the 2010 flop Dulha Mil Gaya. He caught everyone's attention when he shared the picture of his second child - son Azarius.

Ayub Khan: Being Dilip Kumar's nephew gave Ayub an easy entry into Bollywood. However, while he possessed good looks, his acting skills couldn't match up to the same. He debuted with Mashooq (1992) and went on to star in Salaam (1994) and Khilona (1996) none of which could set the box office on fire in an era where the three other Khans were ruling the roost. In recent times, Ayub Khan has done a lot of films and TV shows like Shakti , Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki and Zindagi Abhi Baaki Hai Mere Ghost.

Mukul Dev: Mukul Dev worked in several films like Dastak, Mere Do Anmol Ratan. He has a undergone a complete makeover now and was seen in Omerta, R Rajkumar, Pagalpanti among others.
