The 'Lizzie McGuire' star and the hockey player went out for shopping with their three-year-old son at The Grove here, reports aceshowbiz.com.
It proves that although their marriage has ended, they still maintain a good relationship.
This marked Duff's first Thanksgiving since she filed for divorce from Mike back in February.
Earlier this week, the 28-year-old actress had expressed her gratitude for Luca and shared a photograph of him on Instagram.
In the silhouette image posted on the photo-sharing website, Luca is seen reaching out towards his mother.
Duff captured the photo in a meadow when the sun was about to set. "#thankful everyday," she captioned it.
