Taking a dig at their colleagues has become a favourite pastime for some celebrities. We round up a few who keep us entertained

Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Blac Chyna, Miley Cyrus

Taylor Swift's recently released music video, Bad Blood, might not have gone down well with many, but Miley Cyrus went on record to criticise it. In a recent interview to a magazine, Miley, who often lands in controversies for the racy content of her music videos, slammed Swift for showing a gun in the video. "I don't get the violence/ revenge thing. That's supposed to be a good example? And I'm a bad role model because I'm running around with my t''''' out? I'm not sure how t''''' are worse than guns," she said. The Wrecking Ball hitmaker also spoke about the sexism prevalent in the industry, "There is so much sexism, ageism, you name it. Kendrick Lamar sings about LSD and he's cool. I do it and I'm a druggie wh''e." And with this, the queen of controversy joins an ever-growing list of celebrities who love taking potshots at their contemporaries. hitlist gives you a lowdown:

Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift
In JULY this year, Minaj took potshots at Swift after the latter's Bad Blood promo landed a nomination at a well-known music awards, and the former's Anaconda failed to make the cut. Minaj suggested that her song couldn't impress the panel, as it didn't feature "women with very slim bodies". She lashed out on twitter: "If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year (sic)".

Taylor assumed the dig was at her and tried and make peace with Minaj. She tweeted: "I've done nothing but love & support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot (sic)." Minutes later, Minaj tweeted again to say that the remark wasn't directed towards her. She said: "Huh? U must not be reading my tweets. Didn't say a word about u. I love u just as much.

But u should speak on this @taylorswift13 (sic)". Peace was just round the corner when other celebrities took up the cause and a war of words ensued. However, the situation was finally defused two days later with Swift apologising to Minaj. "I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke (sic). I'm sorry, Nicki @NICKIMINAJ," she tweeted. Minaj accepted her apology and said, "That means so much Taylor, thank you @taylorswift13."

Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez
In JANUARY this year, Cyrus posted a picture of herself wearing a black bikini top on Instagram and captioned it: Do yiew tink if I push muah t'''' up I'll get mo followahhhzzzz? #shouldigrowmyhairout?#koomkoomquah @derrellbullock

@twinkleswinkle@adamleber @anderssonjj @chelseahandler@baddiewinkle.

Considering this followed Ms Gomez's post of a similar selfie, many thought it was Miley's way of taking a dig at her favourite frenemy.

Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards
When Perrie Edwards got a chance to take a shot at ex-fiancé Zayn Malik in an interview a few days ago, she put it to full use. During the interview, when asked about her favourite song at the moment, the Little Mix singer said, "I like One Direction's new song Drag Me Down.

It's incredible." Without a doubt, this was a dig at Malik, since this is the first song 1D has released without the 22-year-old singer.

Perrie has been keeping a brave face ever since her break-up with Malik. A week ago, she was spotted at a casino in Las Vegas with her band mates.

Meek Mill and Drake
In the past Drake has had problems with several other singers but his tiff with Mill has gone out of hand. Ever since the Philly rapper accused Drake of using a ‘ghostwriter' to pen his songs in their R.I.C.O collaboration, the twitter rants haven't stopped.

From going all out and insulting each other through raps onstage to threatening each other with wedgies, this feud has seen it all. If that wasn't enough, Nicki Minaj, who is reportedly dating Mill, was dragged into it with Mill tweeting "don't think it's 'bout no rapping - it's ‘bout Nicki.

I still wake up with the lady that you said you first in line with." Considering Drake and Minaj are good friends, this one is bound to hurt. Ouch.

Blac Chyna and Kylie Jenner
Their tiff has been going on for months and it only gets uglier by the day. It all began with Blac Chyna posting a picture of her wristwatch on Instagram. Pretty innocent a post. However, the watch has a past. It was a gift from her then boyfriend Tyga, who is also the father of her son. And now Tyga is dating the youngest of the Jenner sisters.

So, Kylie took it upon herself to rub it in that Blac's former boyfriend now belongs to her. And for this she posted a picture wearing a similar watch and simply captioned it as "Currently". This snowballed into a full-blown Instagram war with both the ladies taking a dig at each other. In April, Blac posted a cartoonish selfie sporting exaggerated red lips similar to Kylie's signature pout.

In May, she followed this up with another Instagram diss by posting two side-by-side caricatures, that of a frog and a man, and captioned it "before & after highlight & contouring". It was no rocket science to decipher the fact that it was Blac humour at play again, and this time it was Jenner's constantly changing looks and her rumoured plastic surgery that were the target. Last week, the freshly turned adult took a more mature stance and advised Blac to "mind her own business" and focus on "getting a real career". Even Tyga has reportedly threatened to "pull the rug from underneath" Blac if she doesn't stop "trash talking" about his lady love.
