Opening up about his ongoing battle with addiction in a bid to raise awareness for his latest project Give It Up for Comic Relief, the funnyman confessed his old demons still plague his day-to-day life, the Sun Reported.
Although he said that his life has "immeasurably improved" since he cut out the bad stuff, he said "the last time I thought about taking heroin was yesterday."
The comedian goes on to explain how part of him resents "the woeful ratbag" he once was, who for all his problems had drugs.
"Drugs and alcohol are not my problem, reality is my problem, drugs and alcohol are my solution," he added.
