The rapper has blasted 'The X Factor' judge's idea of reworking on Labelle's 1975 classic hit - which was later covered by Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim, Mya and Pink in 2001 - and agrees it "should be left alone", reports mirror.co.uk.

She tweeted: "Please leave me out of the whole Lady Marmalade conversation.

"I have nothing to do with ritas ideas & agree it should be left alone. Thanks (sic)"

Her message on Twitter comes after Ora told The Sun newspaper that she was keen to "round up the troops" for a new version of the soul song.

She said: "I'm trying to round up the troops. I think it would be me, Miley (Cyrus), Charlie XCX - she'd be fun - and Iggy (Azalea)."
