Madonna rehearses mix of Express Yourself, Born This Way

A behind-the-scenes video of the 4 Minutes hitmaker during rehearsals in Israel popped out via YouTube on Sunday, May 27, displaying her singing the chorus of the Gaga anthem midway through the performance of her 1989 track.

Upon its release back in 2011, Born This Way quickly gained attention for its similarity to Express Yourself.

When addressing the controversy, Gaga had said, "The only similarities are the chord progression. Just because I'm the first artist in 25 years to think of putting it on Top 40 radio, it doesn't mean I'm a plagiarist, it means that I'm smart."

Madonna had also shared her thought on the rip-off rumor, saying, "I thought, 'What a wonderful way to redo my song'. I mean, I recognised the chord changes. I thought it was interesting."

She is set to kick off her MDNA tour on Thursday, May 31. In the meantime, Gaga is currently on the road for her Born This Way Ball tour.u00a0
