In their 13 months of now on-then off affair, the pair has broken up twice. In August 2008, when they first called it quits, Mayer blabbed about the split to paparazzi outside his NYC gym, stressing that he was the one who broke things off.
They got back together and even attended the Oscars together last month. "You have to really be with someone that you know who has your back in that situation," Mayer said of attending the show with her. However, they split a short time later.
