After great response to the world premiere of 'Our Brand Is Crisis' at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday, there is no denying the fact that Sandra Bullock is back in the Oscar race.

Not only does the film boast one of the finest performances by the actress, but with the presidential election closing in, the timing of the release of this political satire that lifts the veil on the whole political campaign process, is also making headlines.

However, what is interesting to note is that the part Bullock plays in the movie was initially written as a male character inspired by Bill Clinton's consultant James Carville and was supposed to be a star vehicle for Clooney.

After reading the script, Bullock was so kicked to play the role that she promptly called up long-time friend and producer of the film George Clooney and asked if it could be tweaked and made into a female character.
