Los Angeles: 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' star Sarah Michelle Gellar has joined the voice cast of Disney XD's 'Star Wars Rebels' for the upcoming second season in a recurring role.

The news comes after the finale for the animated series, which takes place in the years between the Star Wars movies' prequel trilogy and the original trilogy, reported Deadline.
The Season 2 voice cast also includes Gellar's husband Freddie Prinze Jr, David Oyelowo, Vanessa Marshall, Steve Blum, Tiya Sircar and Taylor Gray.
