Filmmaker Woody Allen won the best screenplay gong for his romantic-comedy 'Midnight In Paris' at the 69th Golden Globes award ceremony here


Filmmaker Woody Allen won the best screenplay gong for his romantic-comedy 'Midnight In Paris' at the 69th Golden Globes award ceremony here.



The movie, featuring Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams and Kathy Bates in key roles, is about a family that travels to the French capital for business.

Allen defeated other competitors -- Michel Hazanavicius ("The Artist"), Nat Faxon, Alexander Payne, Jim Rash ("The Descendants"), George Clooney, Grant Heslov, Beau Willimon ("The Ides Of March"), Stan Chervin, Aaron Sorkin and Steven Zaillian ("Moneyball").
