Greta Gerwig's 'Barbie' and Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' were both released on July 21, they have been engaged in an intense rivalry at the box office. Fans eagerly anticipated the historic day for cinema, leading to a trend of watching both movies back-to-back, affectionately dubbed as 'Barbenheimer.'
Amidst this intense cinematic battle, two influential figures, Elon Musk and Rishi Sunak, have shared glimpses of their movie preferences. Elon, the owner of Twitter and Tesla founder, took to his social media platform to post a picture of someone surfing TikTok on their phone while watching 'Oppenheimer' in a packed cinema hall. Alongside the photo, Elon added a playful caption, "This movie is way too long," hinting at the film's extended runtime.
Interestingly, the picture shared by Elon appears to be the original post of another Twitter user, @ericzhu105, which Elon cropped and shared on his own timeline. Eric Zhu humorously retweeted Elon's post, stating, "Bro robbed me out of ad revenue," adding a lighthearted twist to the online interaction.

Meanwhile, United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak also expressed his excitement for 'Barbie' on social media. He shared a heartwarming picture with his family, wife Akshara Murthy, and daughters Krishna and Anoushka, taken at a multiplex. Rishi, donning a grey sweater, was seen holding movie tickets in his hand, eagerly anticipating their cinematic experience. The entire family donned pink outfits, signifying their choice for the day - watching 'Barbie' first. Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer features a star-studded cast, including Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr, Florence Pugh, and Emily Blunt. On the other hand, Greta Gerwig's Barbie stars Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, and Marvel's Simu Liu. While the former dives into the life of American theoretical physicist J. Oppenheimer, the "father of the atomic bomb" and tracks a tale of war and remorse, the latter is a visionary feminist reckoning of Barbie in the real world.
