Tom Holland
English star Tom Holland, best known for playing Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, said that the psychological thriller, The Crowded Room, was so intense that he was compelled to take an extended break from the spotlight to get his gears in order.
Holland explained that his time away from cinema was spent with his family and to indulge in leisure activities such as golf. The actor, 27, told in an interview, "I love the learning curve of becoming a producer. I am no stranger to hard work. I have always lived by this idea that hard work is good work. I enjoyed it, but then again, the show did break me. There did come a time where I was like, âI need to have a break.' I disappeared. I went to Mexico for a week and had some time on a beach. I am now taking a year off, and that is a result of how difficult this show was."
Describing his time away from the media glare and the screen, he said, "I've done a little bit of travelling, I had an amazing time. I've been seeing my family and friends. I've also been [indulging] in golf. I've been going to the garden centre, buying plants, and doing my best to keep them alive. I've been trying to be a regular bloke from Kingston and just relax. I don't think [a new Spider-Man] will come any time soon, but there is definitely a possibility!"
