To receive the award, Payal Kapadia also took the leading ladies of her film on stage- Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha and Chayya Kadam

The women who had danced their way to the screening of their film on the red carpet on Thursday hugged and celebrated their moment on stage

This marks Payal Kapadia's second win at Cannes. In 2021, her film 'A Night Of Knowing Nothing' had won the Best Documentary

Anasuya Sengupta, who hails from Kolkata, won Un Certain Regard Prize for Best Actress for her performance in The Shameless. Anasuya, with her win, has created history by becoming the first Indian to win the award
