BTS Jungkook`s new album Golden is out now
BTS member Jungkook's first solo album Golden dropped this morning, after much anticipation. The album has 11 tracks, all in English, and is all set to cement Jungkook's spot as one of the top pop superstars in the world. The title song from the album, Standing Next To You, was unveiled on Friday morning. The video appears to pay a subtle tribute to King of Pop Michael Jackson.
In the music video, Jungkook is dressed in an MJ-esque military jacket with metallic embellishments and tassels as he pulls off some of the late pop legend's signature dance moves, like the iconic crotch grab. In other shots, the K-pop star is seen modelling a giant pair of black angel wings.

Jungkook had earlier released two songs from the album - 'Seven', featuring Latto and a Jack Harlow collaboration titled '3D'. Seven topped the Hot 100 - becoming his first U.S. No. 1 single as a soloist - and recently became the fastest song in history to accumulate over one billion streams on Spotify. 3D debuted and peaked at No. 5 on the Hot 100. On October 3, the BTS breakout star confirmed the release of Golden through a press release promising an 11-track album.
Within hours of Golden's release, the album had surpassed 1 million copies sold.
Jungkook has become the first act to chart seven songs simultaneously on the iTunes US top 10 this year. Golden has also become the fastest album in history to sell a million copies by a soloist in Hanteo. The album was already breaking records before it was out. Just this week, 'Seven' became the fastest song to reach 1 billion streams in Spotify history.
In the lead-up to Golden, Jungkook also appeared on the song 'Too Much', collaborating with The Kid LAROI and Central Cee. The song has since peaked at No. 44 on the Hot 100. With its No. 10 debut on the U.K. Singles Chart, 'Too Much' made Jungkook the first South Korean soloist to score three U.K. top 10 singles.
